Food Production Supervisor

We have an incredible opportunity for a dynamic and inspirational Food Production Supervisor to join our growing New York Team!

Responsibilities:   

• Oversee the daily operations of the food production department, ensuring the fulfillment of food cost goals and timely delivery of finished products.  
• Effectively communicate to facilitate organizational goal achievements.  
• Execute assigned tasks to ensure punctual delivery of finished goods.  
• Participate in food tasting sessions.  
• Juggle multiple priorities, meeting frequent short-term goals and deadlines.  
• Identify and propose solutions for problematic areas to Supervisors, Department Heads, and Management.  
• Adhere to food safety, HACCP, and FDA regulations.  
• Ensure quality assurance and economic performance in line with high-end food standards.  
• Establish efficient systems for optimal productivity and provide leadership and motivation to the food production team.  
• Supervise a team of helpers, fostering professional relationships and supporting individual team members in surpassing goals.  
• Conduct training sessions for new hires, ensuring comprehensive documentation of all training activities. 

Qualifications:  

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in high-volume food service or food manufacturing production.  
• Possess proficient culinary knowledge encompassing terms, procedures, and practices.  
• Demonstrated flexibility to carry out assigned tasks independently or collaboratively within a work team.  
• Knowledge of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) and adherence to general food safety standards is essential.  
• Exhibit strong food presentation skills.  
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, with a proven capacity to interact effectively within a diverse group and experience or exposure to leadership roles.  
• Additional experience in high-end food knowledge is advantageous.  
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.  
• Possesses at least a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent qualification. Bachelor's degree is preferred. 
• Bilingual Spanish preferred.
