We have an exciting opportunity for a Cost Controller to join our DO & CO Family within our Main Unit in New York.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Monitor purchases, expenses, salaries, sales, and payments.
  • Analyze data and recommend courses of action to maximize profitability.
  • Work in conjunction with Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition.
  • Prepare, review and present financial and/or operational reports and budgets throughout the year.
  • Advise management of any major variances and their impact on operation.
  • Prepare forecasts and budgets on a monthly and annual basis as required.
  • Evaluate departmental performance and adjust daily operations when needed to ensure the department meets overall goals and objectives.
  • Maintain good relations with all stakeholders.
  • Ad hoc requests related to field.

   

Qualifications:

 

  • Minimum 3 years of cost controlling.
  • Experience in hospitality or food service, logistics, warehousing is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, economics, finance, or a similar field.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills that build trust and instill confidence.
  • Extensive knowledge in fast-paced technologies and accounting programs and possess excellent mathematical skills, strong written and verbal communication skills, time management and organizational skills, problem-solving and analytical skills, as well as leadership and administrative skills.
  • Proactive, entrepreneurial, can operate resourcefully in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Highly organized and diligent, pays attention to detail and follows through.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet and work effectively under time and resource constraints.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as a team.
  • Ability to connect deeply with people, maintain trust, and navigate sensitive issues with colleagues and clients.
  • Ability to effectively deal with department heads and team members.

  • Estimated salary range: $80,000 - $100,000 annually.
