Senior Field Service Technician

We are seeking a highly motivated IT field service technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting Direct Connect Logistix teammates with varying hardware and software requests and incidents. You will provide energetic and quality face-to-face and remote support ensuring high customer satisfaction. The role requires an excellent work ethic and a technical background in information technology.
Key Responsibilities
•Assists Direct Connect Logistix teammates with face-to-face and remote IT requests and incidents.
•Provides hardware and software support including installing software, upgrading personal computers, basic networking, and basic server management.
•Directly manages and coaches’ junior IT field service technician(s).
•Serve as primary infrastructure point of contact.
•Creates standard operating procedures for resolving common IT issues and frequently asked questions.
•Commits to learning how freight brokerages operate to better serve IT customers.
•Additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
•Associate degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
•5+ years of experience in information technology.
•Manage junior IT field service technician(s).
•Assist and coach junior IT field service technician(s) in resolving complex issues.
•Excellent understanding of personal computers, servers, networking, and applications.
•Experience with Microsoft Windows.
•Experience with Outlook, SharePoint, and Teams.
•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•Ability to explain complex technology concepts to non-technical and non-analytical audiences.
•Ability to manage IT vendors.
•Motivated to work hard and provide excellent customer service.
Preferred Qualifications
•Experience working in the logistics or transportation industry.
•Experience with PowerShell.
•Experience with SQL.
•Microsoft certifications.
Skills Required
•Qualified candidate must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills along with relationship-building, follow-up, and problem- solving skills.
•Candidate must have the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
•Must be able to work with others along with working independently. Must be detail-oriented and must meet scheduled deadlines.
•Ability to multi-task in completing scheduled activities along with additional activities. Ability to manage communication in a positive manner.
•Punctuality and a good work ethic are critical.
