Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated IT field service technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting Direct Connect Logistix teammates with varying hardware and software requests and incidents. You will provide energetic and quality face-to-face and remote support ensuring high customer satisfaction. The role requires an excellent work ethic and a technical background in information technology.
 

Key Responsibilities:

• Commits to learning how key applications and infrastructure operate at Direct Connect Logistix.

• Assists Direct Connect Logistix teammates with face-to-face and remote IT requests and incidents.

• Provides hardware and software support including installing software, upgrading personal computers,      basic networking, and basic server management.

• Creates standard operating procedures for resolving common IT issues and frequently asked questions.

• Additional duties as assigned.
 

Job Requirements
 

Education/Experience

• Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

• 1+ years of experience in information technology.

• Solid understanding of personal computers, servers, networking, and applications.

Preferred

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

• Experience working in the logistics or transportation industry.

• Experience with PowerShell.

• Experience with Outlook, SharePoint, and Teams.

• Experience with SQL.

• Microsoft Certifications.
 

Skills Required

• Qualified candidate must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills along with relationship-building, follow-up, and problem-solving skills.

• Candidate must have the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.

• Must be able to work with others along with working independently. Must be detail-oriented and must meet scheduled deadlines.

• Ability to multi-task in completing scheduled activities along with additional activities. Ability to manage communication in a positive manner.

• Punctuality and a good work ethic are critical.

• Solid understanding of personal computers, servers, networking, and applications.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Good written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to explain complex technology concepts to non-technical and non-analytical audiences.

• Motivated to work hard and provide excellent customer service.
