ENVIRONMENT, HEALTH, AND SCIENCE PART-TIME/SEASONAL
Summary:
Environment, Health, and Science Division is seeking to hire a part-time seasonal position for 2023, to assist at the Composting Facility, Household Hazardous Waste Facility, and other projects in the Storm-water Management Program. Additional duties will include assisting with a variety of programs managed by Environment, Health, and Science Division.
Responsibilities:
35% - Assist with the collection of Household
Hazardous Waste and the handling of non-hazardous materials.
20% - Assist with providing public services at the Composting Facility.
15% - Assist staff with data collection,
investigations, education, and documentation for Storm-water Management
Program.
15% - Provide public outreach on Environmental
Programs.
15% - Conduct other Environment, Health and Science
program implementation duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Applicant should be well-organized and detail-oriented. Positive, responsible, safety-oriented, and good interpersonal approach with people. Knowledge of computers, spreadsheets and database programs desired. Must be at least 18 years of age with a valid driver’s license and capable of operating a City vehicle. Recent graduates in biology, environmental studies, or other Environmental, Health or Science-related degree encouraged to apply.

Hours per week: Varies, not to exceed 30 hours per week
