PRIMARY PURPOSE

Responsible for the design, development, maintenance and enhancement of software solutions for websites and mobile applications that engage users and meet business requirements.

   

JOB DESCRIPTION/DUTIES
1.  
Designs and develops custom software solutions for websites and mobile applications that will attract, appeal and engage users and meet business requirements providing desired information and ensuring 508C compliance.

2. 
Supports web administrators and designers through the full development lifecycle and contributes to the development of new site features.
 

3. Develops database-driven Web interfaces for rapid, real-time information sharing; develops, implements, and debugs software code.

4.  
Designs and develops the web infrastructure including back-end database development and the construction of SQL queries via CGI scripting.

5.  
Develops new Website features and applications through packaged and customized applications such as Wordpress and Drupal.

6.  
Designs and supports with graphics, layout, scripting, programming, as well as compatibility and seamless integration with various technologies such as Java and ColdFusion.


7. Engages independently and professionally with sponsors/clients on a regular basis.


8. Effectively presents both technical and non-technical work to colleagues, clients, and CNA managers.

9.  Works under limited direction and general management supervision on structured and unstructured pieces of projects. Ability to plan and organize tasks effectively, both as an individual contributor and as a team member.

10. 
Serves as an effective member of project or research team by supporting leadership as needed. Exhibits strong customer and client relation management skills.


11. Performs other duties as assigned.


JOB REQUIREMENTS

1.  
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Web Development, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

 
2.  
Experience: Minimum of 2 years relevant work experience in web development.


3. Skills: Proficient in tools such as CSS, JavaScript, HTML, PERL, PHP, Active Server Pages, SQL, and C++. Knowledge of web technologies with experience using Drupal and Wordpress. Possesses a thorough knowledge of programming and server software operations. Ability to construct effective briefings using MS PowerPoint and intermediate to advanced skills with MS Word and Excel and other standard software packages. Ability to communicate information effectively in both oral and written communication. Work under general supersivion to complete job duties. Work effectively on a team and able to build rapport with colleagues, clients/sponsors, and staff at all levels. Strong customer and client relations skills.


4. Other: Ability to obtain and maintain an Active Security Clearance.

5. 
Remote/Hybrid Work Eligibility: This position is eligible for telecommuting or hybrid work arrangements at the discretion of the Supervisor. Employees may be required to work at CNA headquarters or other work locations resulting in changes to the scheduled telecommuting or hybrid work arrangements.
