Medical Credentialing Specialist Remote

Job Summary
 

Supports credentialing departmental activities to ensure quality in conducting, maintaining, and communicating provider and facility credentialing and re-credentialing processes, primary source verifications, provider and facility payer enrollment and continuous database monitoring. Serves as a resource to, and collaborates with, others to advance the quality of practitioners and patient safety of the organization. This position requires the candidate to manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks simultaneously while maintaining quality in a fast-paced environment.  The individual must have strong communication and organizational skills with great attention to detail. 

Skills/Requirements:
 

• Highschool diploma or GED required
• Bachelor’s degree in field related to business or healthcare preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a group health care setting including credentialing, verifications and practitioner health plan enrollment
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• 1– 3 years of administrative work history or healthcare work history preferred
