Founded in 1982 as a non-profit organization by members of the recovery community in Mesa, Arizona, Community Bridges Inc. has held as its principal mission “maintaining the dignity of human life” for more than 40 years. 

 

Job Summary

The Tribal Navigator Liaison is responsible for helping to improve and coordinate behavioral health, and community resources for tribal women. The position involves serving as a key point of contact for both tribal entities and behavioral health programs, providers and stakeholders in the Southern Region. The position involves engaging tribal women, providing resources, and follow-up in the community post treatment. The position will facilitate partnerships, educate stakeholders on programming in their areas, and provide training on how to access services. Community engagement is part of the position and requires planning and building events to create awareness around substance abuse and mental health in tribal communities.

 

Skills/Requirements 

  • Each employee must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Highschool diploma or GED is required
  • Associates Degree (or higher) in a field related to Behavioral Health is preferred but not required of this position.
  • Must be in recovery from Alcohol or Drugs and/or GMH for equal to or greater than 1 consecutive year.
  • 1-3 years of full-time Health Care related work experience where his or her prior experience would provide adequate exposure to both behavioral and medical crisis situations is preferred but not required.
  • 1-3 years of substance abuse/mental health recovery-oriented service is preferred but not required.
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Current AZ Driver's License valid and in good standing.
  • Clear 39-month MVR. ·
  • Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card, site specific
