Job Description:

 

Peak Technologies is seeking a result’s driven Associate Account Manager (AAM) to develop strategic relationships with key customers, selected prospects, original equipment manufacturer (OEM) partners, and other regional business partners in the GA/NC/SC area. The AAM will focus mainly on sales opportunities by prospecting and obtaining new clients through a combination of telephony based and face-to-face sales engagements.
 

This position offers the flexibility to work remotely, from your home office in the East Region of the United States. The Associate Account Manager will report into the RVP of Sales - East Region. This position will be expected to periodically travel to customer sites, Peak Technology offices and selected locations for training, meetings, etc.

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Work under the direction of Senior Territory Account Managers on key account development focusing on expanding into subsidiaries, business units and other business applications.
  • Manage a selected group of regional accounts and prospects to build a defined book of business
  • Conduct heavy outbound business-to-business solution-based sales via telephone, email, Zoom/Teams and limited face-to-face interactions
  • Track all account activity in Peak Technologies contact resource management (CRM) currently Salesforce.com
  • Map organizations people, applications/processes, and products in use in Peak Technologies CRM
  • Use existing customer and new lead information to develop and increase the sales of Peak Technologies products and services.
  • Works individually, and as a team, to meet/exceed individual and/or team sales targets and goals. Each AAM will be responsible for meeting an established annual target or goal.
  • Track sales opportunities from identification through closing in Peak Technologies CRM (Salesforce).
  • Develop open and on-going communication to ensure that opportunities are not missed, and problems are addressed and resolved promptly.
  • Develop and nurture OEM and Independent Software Vendors (ISV) relationships in the territory to remain the one point of contact for the OEM sales rep per territory.
  • Follow up with Sales Qualified Leads (SQL) from OEM’s, ISV’s and updating the results in the Peak Technologies CRM.
  • Ensure products are delivered on time. Monitor inventory levels to avoid product shortages.
  • Forecast long range product sales, inventory levels and product needs, and communicates related information regularly to management through the Peak Technologies CRM.
  • Engage customers in forward-looking projects and equipment lifecycle management and entering them into the Peak Technologies CRM.
  • Build and maintain strategic long-term business relationships at all necessary levels.
  • Partner to resolve all customer requests, complaints, and problems. Goal is to attain a “Raving Fan Experience”.
  • Maintain effective working relationships, communication, and coordination with all co-workers, and management.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Three (3) years successful regional sales/account management experience in service or product sales is preferred.
  • Sales experience with technology products to industrial or supply chain customer preferred.
  • Experience selling maintenance agreements for hardware solutions.
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce.com or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous sales experience meeting face-to-face, either with current or prospective customers required.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to travel approximately 30% of the time.
